Nice fix. I had the same type of problem with my battery door but I used 1/2 inch velcro tape and super glue. The fix is less visible and lets you operate as if nothing is dysfunctional. :)

easy fix..gorilla strong tape, replace when batteries need changing,, no hastle job done.

The problem with this method is that your hand has to operate on the same side. Holding the camera is harder with this kind of mod.

Guys this sx130is camera battery should be AA battery right? But i use AA 2800 MAH rechargeable batteries just in case so that i don't want to waste money but also it shows change the batteries i don't know why please suggest this problem too

HI, this year my sx130 camera fall down from 50cm in his bag case on a wood floor and broke the battery door like on this video. The camera is very good and i don't want to throw away it. I order a new door but i dont't know how to change it. Some one is able to post a video ? Thanks ... ;)
