This is a wonderful tutorial! Your quilt coat is pretty. I love that you honored your grandmother by making her a quilt and then sewed the extra fabric for your coat and Daisy's. Daisy looks so cute in her coat. One thought for using the rest of the fabric would be to make a little quilt for Daisy.

I am so excited after watching your video. I don’t make clothes but I make quilts. I didn’t think I could make a jacket but after watching your video, I think I can do it. I just have to make sense of a 36 page printed mess and figure out how it’s actually a pattern lol

Love your jacket! The snaps are so cute! I am always hesitant to use a separate sleeve with quilted clothing, so I sometimes draft the sleeve and body as one piece. Yours looks beautiful however, so I might give it a try in the future! Thank you for the dog coat pattern tutorial as well! I have a new rescue Chihuahua and he needs a winter coat... Guess who designed it?❤😊 YOU! THANKS AGAIN! P.S. your grandma's quilt was beautiful, too!

I tend to stay away from reversible clothes because it's an unnecessary functionality (it also feels dirty to flip back and forth unless I wash it😅) but totally understandable with such colorful garment as there might be times you want to mute it a bit. I was also planning one for next winter, so thank you! I’m quite surprised you managed to do it so fast; I’m anticipating for a full year for the project🙃

Did you wash the fabric before or after? I know washing after can give it the more “quilted” look!

I’m about to follow this vid to make my own jacket. I also got the Paola pattern. Did you use the piece that’s named “front facing” for this jacket? Or did you omit that?
@livinginthenow3 ай бұрын
It didn't look like she used that piece. I'm thinking that, perhaps, because her fabric was quilted it didn't need the support that the front facing would give a regular fabric.
