I ended up finding someone local selling 55 gallon barrels that had coconut oil in them for less than 24 bucks. I cut them in half, cleaned them up, made drainage holes and used them. They worked great, they hold my elderberry plants. I tried a container like yours a while back but they didn’t stand up to the Texas sun after about a year. Great video!

That's a great find! 55 gallon barrels are very sturdy! I'd love to use that in the future as well. That's wonderful that you have elderberry! Did you grow them from seed? I bought echinacea plants last year, but they didn't end up doing very well.

@@ahomesteadjourney I did not grow them from seed. I purchased cuttings and rooted them myself. Echinacea is tuff, I’ve killed a few already. The heat and drought last year was bad. I didn’t get much food once it got hot, all I could do was just keep plants alive.
