I barely see any Tangled inspired Decor and WHEN I SAW THIS I LITERALLY WAS SO STRUCK IN AWE. THIS IS INCREDIBLE!!! I am definetely trying this and hopefully I won't mess it up. Does having the wire under the glass dome (to have the on/off switch outside) affect how the dome sits on the wood base?

No, the wire is soooo thin it sits on top with no issues.

The glass sits on top of it, but I’ve had it for over a year now and it’s still working great 🤷‍♀️ but I didn’t glue them glass down

This is absolutely amazing but I have one thing to say...... are we going to ignore the fact that you literally put HOT GLUE ON YOUR FINGER AND THEN PUT IT ON THE LEAF. Girl you wild lol. But this is beautiful and I wish you the best of luck :)
