For the resin input hole at 1:33, how does that get cleared out from casting to casting? Is it a small slit built on the mold seam can be cleaned between runs?

Great question! So it's not very clear based on my primitive sketch but imagine my sheet of paper is the plane along which the mold is split in half. When you split the mold you'll easily be able to peel the resin out. If you're having trouble visualizing that check out this video by Engineering After Hours: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hXeUd6WKmsaXbbs.
