DIY: Refill ink for Canon Pro9000 Mark II wide format photo printer

Note: this method works with any Canon printer with the clear ink cartridges, not just with this particular printer model.

I seal the holes with hot glue in a specific manner - any air gaps cause the ink carts to leak out completely making a mess inside your printer. Even those plugs fail if the hole is off by a nanometer - so I just hot glue it every time and it works amazing and easy to get off when you apply it right .

the continuous ink tanks for these older printers are useless and waste of time.

The bottle wouldn't pucker like that if it had shrunk; only if it had expanded... Just sayin'. Useful video though.

@@Cranston0 from memory - 2 heads that most channels work - 1 or 2 channels just won't exhibit color

@SPINNINGMYWHEELS777 I got my printer used that sat in storage for years without cartridges, I took the print head off and sat the head in rubbing alcohol for a few minutes and then padded it off with paper towel until it came out clean from ink.
