DIY REUSABLE COTTON PADS | ECO FRIENDLY & SUSTAINABLE

You will need:
Cotton fabric (preferably brushed woven cotton, but jersey can be used for the inner layers)
Scissors
Pen/Pencil
Round object to draw around (glass/mug)
Sewing machine/basic sewing supplies

This is an awesome idea! I tried making some myself and thought that if you were to make square ones, the waste of all that extra cotton would be avoided. Cotton pads don’t have to be round!

We’re just so used to keeping things the way they should be or expect them to be. Idk square pads don’t look as nice as round ones, but the thing is, they have the same effect, so might as well avoid any waste 💁‍♀️

Wowww this is so nice !! Gonna try this for sure! Only thing I was wondering: I haven't worked with the serger yet (only sewing machine) but I like the finished serger edge better. But how do you finish it once you have serged the edges? You just cut it off ? Does it stay in place? Thanks in advance!!! :)

I just pull the loose thread a bit when I'm finished serging and that kinda 'closes' everything together if that makes sense? :)

You could use black or darker fabric instead. I don’t wear makeup but that would be what I would do.

you can buy 100% cotton fabric from online or any stores that sell fabric. if you would like to be more sustainable you can use fabric you already have like old tshirts that are 100% cotton.
