Great video, it helped significantly with the installation. I found that the thicker seal worked best for the sidewalls. The thinner seal left a lot of light showing through. I had to buy a length of thicker seal to have enough for the sidewalls.. I'm heading to the cabin next week to test it out :)

How well would you say it works relative to no seal? Does it keep out 80%, 90%, 95%, 99%, 100%.

@mickeybrumfield764 depends on how well of a job you do on the seal. Versus, I'd say 95 to 100%

Was it worth it? I just got the Ford tailgate seal installed but always looking for better options...lol. See how it does (Ford pn VFL3Z-99404A06-A). Hopefully that rok block company gives u a kick back!!! Great video!

Thanks for the video! I had to remove my tailgate dust seal because it interfered with the BudRug bridge section when closing the tailgate. Does your BedRug bridge section now stay above the Rock Block to not interfere with tailgate closing?

Yeah, I've had no issues. The seal is under the carpet, and the tailgate closes up normal.

Thx again on this one. You got me thinking though… while staring at the bed of your truck in this video, which Tannau cover are you using? I have the hard top that flips twice and was told my bed rack would work with it. Which it doesn’t. That was a frustrating purchase. I still have this rack boxed up sitting in my garage. Still debating which I should replace, the cover or the rack. I love the covers ease and security. But I want to put that rack on, it’s been months. The question was, which cover do you rock? Do you even use one?

I run a Retrax pro XR. The Retrax doesn't fold it rolls up. Personally I would hate having a fold up tonneau cover running a bed rack.

TJ so what have you found out about the auto closer did it break-in and close on its own or are you just dealing with securing the tailgate by hand?

No, it still won't secure all the way. Gets closer than before. I suspect maybe after a few more months?

Update. It's closes on its own now that the seal has setup.

After using it for several trips now. It's worth it! Now I'm getting dust from other holes where the drain plugs are.

@@TremorTrails FYI There are two variations for the F150. One is the 4.25" (the one you linked in the video description), and the other is the XL 7 which they describe being for "2021 and newer Ford trucks with hinge retainer bracket".
