@@ecietv5507 you can't put insulators outside the walls bagong gawang bahay man o hindi. And baliktad ang lagay nia. It will not prevent heat from entering, the temperature inside will just stay much longer. So if it's hot inside, it'll be hot much longer, and if it's cold, same thing will occur. The idea of insulators is to prevent heat or cold from entering, not the other way around. And delikado yan, try putting an insulator on fire and you'll see. Pra kang nagsunog ng straw kya di cya maganda outside the ceiling. I admire the dedication cause he wanted to give the best for his family.

The reflective side should face the source of heat to reflect the infrared light, and there should be atleast an inch of space/vent between the reflective foil and the roof/heat source.

Sa mga nagsasabing useless sya, WRONG. It doesn’t matter which side and kung san sya nakaharap. The silver will serve its purpose no matter what. Ang purpose ng silver ay para hindi makatagos ang init o ideflect/reflect lang ang init. That foam alone ay effective and is a thermal insulating foam, it’s a low density elastomer. That silver’s purpose is to amplify the insulation ng foam. HINDI SYA USELESS. Great work, Kuya!

The shiny part should face up to reflect the radiant heat up, if the shiny part faces down.. you'll just reflect the radiant heat down towards the people... Makes the room hotter, same as an oven, you could see that the shiny walls(topside and sides) of the oven faces on the food you place inside, effectively cooking the food.... In your case you are not cooking the people inside the room... There should be an air space between the roof and the foil(foil part must face upwards) to effectively reflect the radiant heat away and reduce the heat of the room

Ang heat insulation foam is sa ibaba ng roof nilalagay. I wonder bakit sa kisame. Mas pampa sound proofing to than reducing the heat. Although mali din if soundproofing material kasi iba din material, anyways, naka reduce naman ito ng noise so noise reduction dapat title.

Hello! Great vid! Tho may comments and suggestions ako for people na gustong gayahin to. Mas magiging effective ang insulation niya kung ang foil side ang tinapat niyo sa mainit na surface (palabas). :) usually sa construction, when installing ang insulation na yan, yung foil side yung nakatapat sa roof (towards sun/source of heat) nirereflect niya ang init. May mga double sided naman na binebenta (both sides may foil layer) para maganda tignan from the inside. Fully support the DIY movement! More power to you!

With due respect, This will not work... Insulator should be under the "metal" roof to bounce back the heat to metal. In this case, you bounce the heat back to wood/non metal ceiling. It will make the wood so dry and brittle that its prone to fire. Yes it will cool the room temp a bit. But the implementation is wrong. This should be taken out of youtube coz people might copy it. Have it check with fire department in your area and they will disapproved this setup.

if you're using aluminum foil as an insulator for cold, face the reflective side towards the room. when you want to decrease the heat face the reflective side facing the wall, in that way it'll absorb the radiant heat from your roofing.

@@christopherpaloma4719 The best place to install is under the roofing material with the reflective side up, so when heat hits the roofing material it radiates back up and not down into the ceiling tile. Additional insulation can be added on top of the ceiling to keep the temperature in the room stable, so you can add the reflective side down on top of a bed of insulation.

Ang point kasi nagawa na yung bahay kaya mahirap na ilagay sa NORM o so called TAMANG lagayan ang insulation, at gusto niya na bawasan yung INIT kaya imbes na normal na aircon lang ay ginawa niya narin ito para after pag gamit ng aircon ay mag stay pa ng mas matagal yung lamig dahil nakaharap yung silver part at yung use ng wallpaper ay mag prevent na mahulog or maglagas ng mabilis yung mga silver. ganito lng yan. ung reflective pag sa loob yung silver na sinasabi nyo pag wla kang aircon mainit sobra yan. pero pag may aircon parang style refrigerator. yung adhessive wall paper naman sa tagal ng panaho magiging yellowish at matutuklap din yan subok ko n yan eh hahaha. pero sa effort at creativity thumbs up na din.
