Hey friends, thanks so much for watching! I am sharing another DIY home decor idea, which is a couple of DIY rose boxes. Most of us have come across photos of these boxes of roses on Instagram, which are of course beautiful, but very pricey. I decided I wanted to try a hand at creating my own dupe version of the luxury roses in a box. Most of my materials came from the Dollar Tree, so these were a very budget friendly DIY decor project. In the video I share my crafting process and tips, as well as some of my mistakes and hiccups, so you guys can also make these beautiful DIY rose boxes! All of my materials are listed and linked below with some notes.

I preferred the look of the circular box over the square. It felt fancier.

I suggest the matte finish for a more luxury look

Hi, how did u keep ur paint from running? I'm trying to use the same boxes, but the paint isn't sticking well

Hmmm, make sure you use a decent quality brand of spray paint - I like Rustoleum. If you’re getting drips, that probably means you’re spraying too close and too heavy handed. Make sure you’re keeping the can at least a foot away from the boxes when you’re spraying and use short light spray strokes, rather than a constant stream. It should take you about 2 separate coats to achieve full coverage. Hopefully this helps 💖

How do you make the Rose's scented?

I haven't done anything to make them scented, but you could definitely give them a couple of sprays with your favorite perfume, or put in a couple of drops of your favorite essential oil!
