DIY RV Roof Repair | RV Renovation on a Budget (week 2)

Last week's video ended with a huge hole in the roof of our camper, leaving it exposed to the rain. This week we tried (and kinda failed) to fix our roof before it rained. Let me show you exactly how we repaired the leaks, replaced the rotten wood, replaced a skylight and vents, resealed the rubber roof membrane to prevent future leaks, and applied a new rubber coating. Hey, thanks for the video. I am so sick of videos that say they do it on a budget or up cycle, etc. and then they just buy new stuff!! and all the comments say just buy a new one why wouldn’t you just buy a new one?!!? we live in such a disposable culture. The portable power station. I have watched quite a few RV nomadics with power stations and the solar panels. Be extremely careful when using in a camp or when others are around. They are very desirable and a lot of people find theirs have been stolen. You need to supervise it anytime it is outside, even to go inside for a quick potty break. Any part left outside seems to be fair game.

Hi Katie. First off, any bites on your Florida house? I give you both credit, not afraid of the work, getting dirty and sticky. We had a new 2000 camper with tip out ends. 17 years later, it was worn out. AC was shot, floor was soft for a long time, cd radio but the dust, fridge started not to keep food cold. We said it’s time. We bought a 2004 camper which over tube flooring was getting soft and had some leaks. Sold it. Bought a 2009 Jayco cheap and have has for two years. It’s in NY and my wife is very good on staying top of things. Just do the yearly preventative maintenance and you’ll be fine. First signs of a problem, get on it ASAP. We learned that. questions about Tennessee .... are there natural disasters such s tornados in East Tenn? Rural areas on the outskirts of cities is where Im looking. Thanks!!!

I can speak of the weather in East TN - it varies so much across the state. East TN has little bit of most of the natural disasters. Occasional tornados, flooding, fires, ice storms, very mild earthquakes - but none are a major threat like in other areas. The biggest issue is they occur so infrequently that no one knows how to handle anything well lol.
