DIY: S2000 Clutch Fluid Change and Delay Valve Delete

Vroom in terms of deleting the delay valve the car is slightly more responsive. I think what I need to do now is get a lighter flywheel. I have the oem ~24 pound flywheel and it's just killing the response on this car. Once I change that out the car will be way more responsive

your S is DBW like mine, i know when most people do this, they do it with the ap1 flywheel as well how much of a difference did this alone make? driving feel more direct?

Hand Banana it feels almost about the same but the hesitation you get with the valve on happens less. It still hesitates in some scenarios but I think that has more to do with flywheel weight and laggy stock dbw throttle body response programming. Once I get a lighter flywheel (14lb or 10 lb) and a tune, the response will be so much better.

The only thing that i'm afraid of is after bleeding all the fluid out of the system to take the slave cyl out will I gonna have air inside? How did you avoid it, or the gravity method pushed the air smoothly? Thank you so much!

Narco Pablo I did the gravity method and it worked out great! You can also have someone help you pump the clutch if you'd like. Hope that helps!

Can you use swap the slave out for a ap1?

@@charleshu5752 interesting. What makes the ap1 slave cylinder longer? Longer rod in the slave? I used an Ap1 slave with Ap2 transmission w/o any issues🤔

Should note I just attempted this Diy today and fluid Did leak through the hole. I am gonna buy an Ap1 cylinder. Be very careful.

I do this shit last night Smfh totally fucked it I drilled to low and it was Squirt and out the side where the seal sits
