What is going on everyone? I hope that you are all well. So we are back at it with another DIY video for aquarium keepers. I wanted an aquarium controller board mounting system for the aquarium controller equipment I got for my saltwater reef aquarium. I bought these items for the system - Neptune Systems Apex, 2 Neptune Systems EB832 energy bars, 2 Neptune Systems FMM (Fluid Monitoring Module), 1 Neptune Systems WXM Module to control my Ecotech Vortech MP40 Powerheads and the Ecotech Radion XR15 LED Lights, Neptune Systems DOS dosing unit for my 2 part dosing setup, LED light strip, Cables and more.
Now that we got all of the saltwater equipment we need a cabinet to install them in. I looked around online, at stores and I just couldn't find a cabinet that would fit in the space that I had available. So I decided I needed to build a DIY Cabinet for my saltwater fish tank aquarium controller system. I got some nice pine lumber, screws, paint, etc to build it. This was the way to go for me since I had complete control over the size of the Apex cabinet.
Back to all the Neptune Systems Apex aquarium controller items, I got them used. The only items that I bought new was the Neptune Systems DOS. I found deals on craigslist, facebook marketplace, etc for the used items. This allowed me to get the equipment at a much more affordable price. You are risking issues since they are not new, but Neptune Systems make quality products so I wasn't worried. If you look around you can find great deals. These items are not cheap but the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This is going to be a fun video and its going to be awesome to have such a cool system to control my fish tank.
This system is going to do some epic things. It sends up to date info to my iPhone through apex fusion. I can look at my phone and know where my Aquarium PH is, where my Aquarium Salinity is, where my Aquarium Temp is, what percentage my reef leds are running at, what percentage my aquarium wavemakers are running at, how much money it is costing to run everything, let me know if there is a leak with sensors attached to the fmm module, tell my ato pump when to add freshwater to the reef fish tank, when to turn my refugium lights on and off, and much much more.
I hope you liked this video. If so, please like, comment, share, subscribe and click that notification bell. I look forward to your comments and seeing you on future videos. Thank you so much!

This is awesome. I’m going to paint the inside of mine white since it naturally reflects light it will brighten up the inside of the display nicely while hiding scuff marks, dust, and any imperfections in the paint after install.

Looks great. One suggestion. Take some quarter round, paint it black, and attach it right in front of the led lights. That way you get the glow without seeing the actual leds. 👍🏼

This is probably one of the best videos on how to DIY controller cabinet for your Apex system. This build came pout awesome and superior work! I am getting ready to build one but I need mine wider since I HAVE plenty of room next to my SCA150. question - HOW MANY OUT LETS ARE YOU RUNNING TOTAL BEHIND YOUR TANK?
@inventoryking
@inventoryking Жыл бұрын
I am so sorry that I missed this comment! Thanks for watching and commenting. So I am running 4 total outlets behind the tank (2, 2 plugs). I had someone install 2 breakers in my breaker box so each plug has its out breaker.

Superior job on the cabinet #@UCD0v9KxbMdnSz0WC6it2bMQ! I bought two Marine Depot cabinets that will be getting placed on top of each other w/ all of my Apex gear and then I will be building my tall and skinny cabinet like yours but mine will only be 55'' in height.. What size lumber did you use for this build if you don't mind me asking?
