Oh yeah, curving the scales add a LOT to the finished look of the piece. Definitively worth the extra effort. Good job.

curiously for those who dont have a laser cutter and dont want to spend 1000 years cutting each one by hand do you sell scales by like the pound or 50 or 100s

I'd like to see you make the Witcher season two Geralt's armor. It's smooth and round. Maybe good beginner armor? Looks great on the Netflix show.

I have been told repeatedly not to use my laser on chrome tan
@Princearmory3 жыл бұрын
Hmm, there are a lot of chemicals used when making chrome tanned leather. Might be sound advice. I have a fairly open workshop and run the exhaust through a filter system but I can't say for sure that is enough. Maybe someone with some expertise in the matter will weigh in here.
@patriciagallatin1732 жыл бұрын
He is correct! Lasering chrome tan leather releases toxic fumes (Cyanide gas) that while the fumes can be exhausted safely if you have a very, very good exhaust system (not the GF filter but an extra outside fan such as the Infinity series of exhaust fans) the cyanide gas released will etch your electronics and damage your machine. If you don't have a good enough system the fumes can kill you. Some people say that they've lasered chrome tan so far without any issues but I will guarantee that their machine will be effected and will break down soon. Especially using a Glowforge the warrantee will be voided as you are only supposed to be lasering vegetable tanned leather. As always, you may do as you please but I follow what the pros suggest

ALmost all of the Armor I've seen from you is extremely cool and somewhat intimidating, what I would love to see from you is a full set of Armor not in color, but in white with Gold Filigree a set of Armor you would see an Angel of God wearing with no spiny or pointed projections but something that is designed to protect but to convey a sense of righteousness and benevolence something that would be worn only when necessary but something that would bring revulsion to forces of evil. Can you do something like that? I would cast it as a very big challenge to you. Something conservative but ornate at the same time NO CROSSES but perhaps a helmet with stylized wings on the sides? Just a suggestion but I would buy that kind of Armor pattern and be very grateful for it! let me see if I can fins a suitable picture of what I'm talking about...
