Following up on the last part of the video....I raise Presa Canario's. We did an AI on a Monday, natural on Wednesday, AI on Friday. Ended up with 16 pups, last two were huge (largest of the litter) and still born. A couple ended up pretty large, most were the same size, and two small females. Just to add to the conversation of "multiple pregnancies" during a single heat

9 months ago I bred my toy poodle naturally. I brought the male in around 13 days. They mated 3 times over a four day period. My poodle bitch birthed 4 beautiful puppies. 2 parties and 2 phantoms. 11 to 13 days is the mark!

I need to ask you a question. I took my girl to do an x-ray 9 before due date to know how many pups she was carrying, she had no symptoms of labor, she had 4 puppies, but the vet stuck her finger up her vulva, no vet ever did that before with my other dogs. I asked her if that could induce early labor, she said no, day after she went into early labor, pups were alive but died one by one. could that exam be the cause? she never had problems with previous litters.

Brilliant video!! I had my female at the studs home on her 12th and 13th day, no tie. I also tried my stud on the 13th in the evening and the 14th, still no tie. I ai’d her on the 14th and 15th as a last resort. Do you think I’ll have any success? Or is that too late to attempt an AI. I don’t have a vet around to do progest. testing unfortunately.

I want to thank you so much for all your videos! They have been so informative. So I have a question to do with the timing. My girl is acting funny had some swelling and she is humping on my male, but no bleeding. But I decided to wipe her and there was a very light pink discharge. Would I count that as day 1? I took her to the vet to get a progesterone test and it was only .6 ng/ml. So I am not sure if the pink is day 1 or how long I should wait before testing again. If u was to breed immediately at 15 and the sperm takes from 12 hrs up to a day to get to the eggs what would the progesterone levels be at fertilisation?? I bred at 40+ then again 2 days later and had a litter of 6.. I was told breed 2 days after she hits 20.. by your chart that’s late. You obv have a lot of experience so I’m just curious. Also I was told the eggs aren’t mature enough until about 60 nmol ?? So aim for that??

You are using. Ng/mol Most tests and myself are measuring in ng/ml. The conversion is divide your numbers by 3.18 to get ng/ml So 4o is about 12ng/ml I breed on 15 so almost the same numbers. So your numbers are the same it’s just the units of measurement are different

Love My Pups so to say 15 would convert to 47 nmol roughly. The machine I use gives readings in nmol/L.. this wouldn’t be the optimal time to breed by your standards if converted from ng to nmol
