Back flow will always happen when breaking clogged pipe, just shoot it before and after the repair, honestly good work bro

Hi there, those to tees you installed looks like sanitary tees. According to UPC and IPC plumbing code, and Septic code, you have to have a two-way Tee within 4’ of the house and septic tank. You can’t lay a San Tee on its back or side. They can only be used on vertical pipes. If it’s deeper than 18 inches, you have to have a combo fitting going both directions. The reason is, it can’t be used as a clean out trying to get a machine inside the line the direction that you want it to go. Also horizontally, a San tee is not designed for flow at an intersection.

A tip I use when lining everything up square is to first do a test fit then put a pencil mark on the pipes. Then take them apart, glue and line the pencil marks up again.

Flip the cleanouts 180 next time so you don't have a spot you can't reach with the snake.

Ya for anybody else watching you want to flip the direction on the clean outs ...and throw in some tree root killer granules in your trench before you backfill. It's cheap to buy and may help you years later under that patio you said was going over the pipe near the house. Tree roots are heck on sewer pipes and under concrete patios. 👍😉

So Will the reduction in pipe size , house is 3 then you put 4 on , could that have any effect on anything and where u put the reducer will that be prone to clogs

I believe the standard size is 4 inch anymore. Since I went from 3 to 4 it should not be a issue with plugging we have not had any issues with it. The only thing I would say is I wish I used solid wall pipe sdr 26 and not the foam core stuff. But since it isn't very deep it should be fine.

It was cheaper and since it wasn't very deep I went with the cell core. If I would do it over again I would go solid sdr 26.

No I haven't done anything to it since the video. I am hoping to get a new tank and install new laterals sooner rather than later.

I apologize for the delayed response. Foam core is referring to the area of the pipe between the outer layer and the inter layer of plastic. There is a foam honey comb like material instead of a solid plastic line. If I were to do it over I would go with the solid core instead of the foam core just for the piece of mind.

They are outside cleanouts. If I ever need to run a snake, or cable machine through the line I can now do it outside.
