Wow Dawn, I absolutely love these two pumpkins! It's amazing how the lamp really does resemble a pumpkin, and what an improvement on the lampshade! The pumpkin flower arrangement is gorgeous too! I have blue and white touches throughout my home, and these would fit in perfectly!

Beautiful, as always, Dawn. 😊I have a set of wood/milk glass lamps, mid century modern looking, and I keep thinking they look like pumpkins. I’m not going to paint them, but I will look at my other lamps , I have a clear lamp, that has some ugly flower arrangement in it, and I am thinking about putting a fall scene inside of it. I have so many lamps, from over the years, from the mid century modern time through to the 90s/00s. Most of them need new wiring, but they can become some fun projects. 😊

Someday will you share a video on how to thrift. What is your metacognition? How does it work. When I walk into a thrift store I just see dirty junk. I love what people make but, I do not know how to look in a thrift store. I get teased about it. I am the person who walks through Walmart in 15 minutes. Thrift stores, I walk in smell, run the main drag and if it is as dirty as it smells, I leave. I know this is a personal problem. I can fake this when I am with my best friend, who is like you. She knows I don't get how to do this. Her work is lovely and perfect - like yours. She can make the silk purse. ... Btw the stem is the peduncle- I just love that word. the lines are the ribs. Love your work.. thanks.

I don't know why certain items just pop out at me and others don't. I guess I look for shapes that inspire me. Once I find an item that inspires me for a project I look for other items to complete that project. One trick I do have is to walk all the aisles then walk them going the other direction. You will see items that may be hidden or appear different from an alternative point of view! Happy thrifting Laurie!!!
