I love the DIY dehydrates meals. I’m still tinkering with this recipe. When I first got into it I dehydrated ingredients separately. So I mix and match the veggies. Even have tried adding in red/orange/yellow bell peppers. The hardest part is getting the gravy right. Still trying to get that right.

So since you added the potatoes to the mix before adding hot water, do you need to keep them separate until mixed or will that mess it up to soak all together?

I love your enthusiasm. I do a different take on this. Being Diabetic i omit gravy and use a sloppy jo sauce with meet and vegee. I put that on bottom then top with mashed and top with cheese.

Frozen needs a chair. Food looks good. I end up dehydrating the ingredients separately, that way I can made different dinners with each item. Also, if you're using beef, add breadcrumbs to ground beef, it'll rehydrate better.

Ohhhhh good idea on the beef. I will try that. Frozen has a lot of chair hate but sitting on the ground causes that.

SBOutdoors I can't take credit for the tip: I picked that up from backpackingchef.com. If you haven't found the site, check it out. Good food ideas on that page.
