Awesome job. I used your idea but when I marked out the windshield I traced the hood with a grinding disk on edge than a washer with a sharpie. But I never would have done it without this Video. Also I put Foam take between the bar and the Plexiglass to keep the vibration down .Thank you. Nova Scoita Canada

I’ve used that trick with a washer on flooring before, definitely a good idea. I’m glad to hear it was helpful.

Thank you. We are still using this today. The only thing we have done since then is added a section of rubber vacuum line to the bottom side to prevent scratches on the paint

Helpful vid. I'll be building this. Just saved 250$. Questions: How do you get the windshield from sliding down and bottom edge from rubbing and scratching the paint? I'm thinking weather stripping at bottom edge, thoughts?
@CameronsonCamera3 жыл бұрын
I ended up getting vacuum hose and cut a slit down it then slipped it around the bottom edge . I’m glad it was helpful!
@gina60833 жыл бұрын
Could use pool noodle and your choice of adhesive or put on a glue gun bead/strip on bottom to keep from touching. Just cheap ideas.

I can’t say that I’ve had any issues with it, if you’ve got more time than money it’s a good option. I haven’t had any flexing problems and scratches are minimal. I did take it off at the little Sahara sand dunes (if you saw that one) because it was so hot, I wanted more airflow. Thanks for watching!

I would say that if someone is looking into building something vs buying something , they most likely already have basic power tools. Dewalt tools are nice but there’s definitely cheaper options out there to get you started.
