I just finished making this macrame with your new measurements. It had an INCREDIBLE amount of wasted cord and I was quite disappointed, please try and find an appropriate length next time :(

Do people not read the comments? I read everything. I mean everything. Every time i don’t it bites me in the butt and I post a stupid ass question. The poster literally says on her instructions screen…I made this mistake..then on the first message posted says the same thing. Yet how many messages are here regarding the length being incorrect? Thank you for this lovely tutorial. I will definitely be trying this soon. BTW, everyone wanting to try different sizes of cord there is a KZbin video on how to figure out how to exchange one size cord for another. You will need to search for it, but it’s on here.

Can this be done with 6mm cord? If so, do you how much bigger the piece will be?

I didn’t have enough cord at 48”. Should I have cut 96” so each side folded was 48”

Hi, each of my cords were 48 inches. You would need to make the cords longer if you use a thicker cord or dowel (or want a longer wall hanging). I'm not sure why it ended up short. I hope it wasn't by a lot and there wasn't too much cord wasted.

Oh no I ran into exact same problem! 😩 48” with 3mm cord is far too short. Beautiful project i will try to double the cord length.
