Ok i hope i have the right stuff got about 5 phone. I had a clip on Microscope but not anymore. One time i made one with my neighbor from directions. It's plexiglas, and a base, and 3 long lag bolts and 6 nuts. The stage holds the slide, which can be adjusted up and down. Then the phone goes on to of another piece of plexi but a small hole just big enough to pop a lens into, not to big. The lens came from cheap laser pointers or a broken cd player. It worked very well.

You could very easily took the lense out by unscrewing it from it's covering.

Excellent idea and execution. For your own safety, change that lock code and clip out any future lock code entries (or just take the phone out of frame while you unlock it). You might have better autofocus performance if you use a darker work surface because focus contrast is biased towards areas of bright contrast. The combination of your skin tone vs that work surface is making the autofocus work against you. Keep the background plain though, busy surfaces also draw contrast focus systems and/or add some lights that shine on your hands, but not the work surface. Maybe a footswitch to toggle between bright work lights vs dim work lights with spotlights on your hands. It looks to me like you have considerable experience with still photography, but video is different. It's a lot harder to just throw away the shots that don't quite work. I think your worksurface is probably light grey, ~15%. I think 50% will work better, but you will probably need to use fixed exposure to avoid blowing the highlights with the darker background. I have a dead phone and I am thinking of doing this tonight...

How does the lens module of a modern samsung phone differ from a lens module from lets say a lens module of an older camera phone such as one that's not a touch screen? Would the microscopic image be the same or would it be of lower quality?
