Best video I've seen so far on these 4K industrial cameras. Thank you so much for your work.
@ingmarm88586 жыл бұрын
I've had one of these since last year and I love it. Performance even with the LED ring turned off is very good. I've added a 40mm (does not screw on) circular polarising filter and that cleans the image up even more, eliminating some of the harsh reflections. I use it for very fine SMD work and as a bang for buck this thing piddles all over the Tagarno and Inspex ($6k) digital inspection scopes I use at work.

Ingmar M just purchased this microscope today ! Can you send me a link to the filter you bought ? Are there anythings I should know about the microscope ... will also be using it for SMD work 👍

How comfortable is it to solder using this by looking at the screen. I think most people prefer microscopes, or? I don't plan to do but maybe a few pieces a year... or less... so... no big deal

If I've got a bare circuit board to look at, I slap it under my scanner. But that doesn't work if the board is too lumpy.
@coffeeandcigars6 жыл бұрын
I thought this comment was a great little work-around. HOWEVER, this method simply didn't work! The scanner just blatantly refused to work. I had to reinstall the damn board back into the scanner. By some stroke of sheer luck, I must have rattled something the right way, the scanner has worked flawlessly since. Real head scratcher (;

OMG this will be one of the best video on KZbin because you just started from a simple microscope camera i though it will just a ordinary reviews of that camera, then you teardown the camera then you start explaining how it's works and function, i am like waoo what i am just watching, and you bring it another level it makes me more amazed when you bring different lenses and adapter you are trying to using it for regular photography waoooo. I just love it..... Thank you for sharing it is really helpful for everyone who are interested in biology and Photography..... Can i use that video on my Channel ?

Nice video, I watch it all 20 minutes (normally in YT videos I get tired about 5mins). I see another review video for a 2Mp VGA camera for electronic use (SMD, PCBs), but the image in a 17inch display is very similar to your 13Mp camera. I think this type of camera is a great tool for electronic repairs. Thank you.

Could you recommend a setup for knife sharpening? I would like to mount the camera and lens 10-12” above my work. The ability to zoom in very close with good image is critical for me. I have vision issues. Thx for any assistance

Interesting! For years I've been experimenting with trying to DIY digitize cine film frames from 8mm and 16mm wide film. I'm looking now for a good but affordable "machine vision" style camera to connect to my PC via USB 3. I also have some better quality c-mount lenses already, so ideally I'd like a camera one can change lenses on. Ideally I'd like 4K resolution but HD would be OK. I particularly want to start learning about controlling the camera through software on the host computer, I've been dabbling with Processing code or could look at Python coding for this. So can anyone recommend a camera that meets these criteria please? Thanks, Chris

Oh, you're still using the Lenkeng transmitter! What firmware version did you end up using? Mine produces suboptimal 1080p results when connected to (and played back on) a RasPi 3B.
@OpenTechLab6 жыл бұрын
I'm on 4.0.0.0.20160427 - it works ok - though it it seems to drop a packet every couple of minutes, which corrupts the image for a few seconds. Looking in the firmware repo (bit.ly/2yvsKez) it looks like there is an upgrade for me, so maybe that will help with my issue. As it happens I'm using it to monitor a RPi3 for my day job, and the results I'm getting for 1080p are pretty good - I have it configured for unicast transmission, so it doesn't spam the network, and then I use 'socat UDP-RECV:5004 - | mplayer -' in Linux, and that gives me a nice low-latency video feed (with occasional corruption).

Is this the 14mp version? I bough one, a different brand, but looks more or less the same. I couldn't get the software to capture at 4320*3240 pixels ? I saw they specify this can be captured by using the TF card. Would there be a possibilty to achieve this using the USB connection?

Is it really "zoom" if you're just moving the camera up and down? What I mean is that the lens allows you to set the focus, but it's not a zoom-lens..?

Explanation: I like to have a hdmi-camera above my desk that ponts to an A4 or A3 sheet and i want to see the whole sheet on my monitor. Hi! First of all, thank you very much for this instructive video, it is a very good work, congratulations for that! I have one question. I purchased the same microscope with the aim of connecting it to the laptop and take close up pictures of tool wear, in the machining industry. But I am not able to connect it to the laptop since the HDMI in it is output. You say in your video that you use an HDMI extender, from an HDMI input to RJ45 ethernet cable, but what do you use next? How can you see the images in the computer so that you can print screen for example, or record videos? If you could tell me, I would be very pleased. Thank you very much in advance!
