I just got started with solar. Saw two cheap panels and ordered 30 and 50 watt panels with USB ports because I already have a lot of USB chargers for my AA batteries and I have two rechargeable USB fans. I ordered a bunch of power banks with USB ports and some USB light bulbs. We had two long power outages last season and those battery powered fans get EXPENSIVE, and unless you already have a giant collection of them the stores run out right away. Now I can avoid that big BIG problem next time, because going from air conditioning to nearly 100F is BRUTAL! Although I have plenty of radios and batteries I can charge, I ordered a rechargeable USB AM/FM/WEATHER pocket radio with a bright flashlight too. It was only 12 bucks but has a 2200 mAh 18650 battery, that others have tested and it does have that capacity, so I know I`m getting a nice backup battery for my Kaito KA500L emergency radio, and at the same time a weather radio with alert that fits in my shirt or coat pocket. Radios are very important. Relying on phones and internet has made many people forget or never know the value of radio. If any of you need help choosing a SHTF radio holler at me. [e-mail]

Because primers and powder are short, I've been more interested in taking flintlocks out. Bp can be made, bullets cast, flints found and knaped. Would make a great video, I aught to do that. Feel free to be first though.

Awesome concept. I too have been looking into a similar setup. I’m just looking to build a boondocking setup for my pickup. I’m not smart enough to build this stuff, so I’m the sucker that will likely buy a system off the shelf. I’m looking at a Bluetti 500w solar generator and a 120w solar panel.

I use too much water 🤣 480 gallons would not last me much more than a week while maintaining my fish tanks 😅.
