I might do something very similar with mine too. You inspired me. Plus, I changed vacuum cleaner a few months ago so I have parts that I could use. That small sucker feels like the perfect thing to use.

Yes. You can bring it right to where you solder. It is not very powerful, but it doesn't need to be. And, it is super quiet.
