I like that you always wear that mask. I just ordered one. A few years ago I decided to do some welding in my Datsun while it was on the rotisserie, and I had previously coated with POR15 anti rust paint the underneath part of it. Well, after 12 hours of welding the floors, I was breathing all that smoke. 3 hours after that, when I was going to bed, I realized that I couldn’t breathe. I am in my 20s and I am super healthy/fit. I nearly died that night. I got a severe case of welders fever mixed with chemical intoxication that made my skin get giant blisters all over my body, plus I was coughing blood for days. The skin inside of my nose started to fall off, just like when you burn your skin with hot water. It was a nightmare. I tell everyone, invest in a good mask! Lesson learned. I love your videos by the way! I am currently working on a 1971’ Honda Z600 AWD K24 with tubular frame.

I believe that a combination of both styles would work well. At the end of the day, as long as it's great content, which it is, what every you feel like doing on the day is great.
@nickblood50402 жыл бұрын
Definitely voice over, voice is not monotone, merely factual.

I like it when you talk to the camera, but all of your content is worth watching.

Matt you’re a good clear speaker, you don’t mumble or hesitate (like some others that insist on speaking live often do) which is rather frustrating). Personally I quite like a little bit of both…by the way I’m also loving this track mini build, nice job 👍
@mikediamond2573 жыл бұрын
I like this way and I like your “monotone” voice. Feels more like you’re standing right next to you as you’re doing things. Your welding ! Omg. Next level Shcmick. 10 outa 10.
@jonathanpalmer55053 жыл бұрын
Either style works for me too. For me it's all about learning what can be done and how best to do it and you nail that. Great stuff Matt.
@fenner-g60883 жыл бұрын
Seriously impressive how you make the fabrication work look so bloody easy !!!!
@trevorjarvis30213 жыл бұрын
You do whichever style of video you want Matt - there’s nothing wrong with your “monotone voice” or how you look!! It’s the content that’s interesting and indeed how you go about it, fabricating skills, Manufacturing, Engineering, mechanics, welding, plasma cutting, lathe work, hammer work. Etc etc. I enjoy everything, it’s amazing.
@malcolmlane-ley20443 жыл бұрын
Great work. I think the key is to have an explanation of what and why you are doing things as it helps not only with the learning process but also builds engagement so whichever distracts you less from the filming is my answer

Another nice piece of work Matt! The voice over is most pleasant when you are working, in the camera is pleasant when you explain something. It is important that you feel good about it.
@mikegluth19813 жыл бұрын
I like the ones where you talk while you work. We get more of that dry humour. Voice overs are fine but you should save those for when you got a lot of work and precious lil shop time. Besides if you do both it mixes it up a bit and keeps it fresh. But like most people, either way is fine with me. I'm just happy you're posting regularly. I like your content. 👍

Sir Matt. To me voice while doing fab work is a difficult task to do but that’s way more knowledgeable to me nor to everyone, they can understand the work step by step. 💯🙏👊🏽😎. Whatever you might feel like doing is good to me,. Appreciated all of your work really awesome! 🍻

It kind of took me by surprise a little when you first started with the voice-over but I gotta tellya, you've struck a nice balance between the two. The vids are slicker and more (dare I say it?) professional. This build is very entertaining.

Job well done, your videos have excellent content. The objective and the benefit of the mod is clearly stated then demonstrated. Broken down into easy steps that are well lit, shot, and edited.

Matt, I think I'd go ahead and weld a small lip across the boot floor to hold the CF panel. That open edge seems like it's going to catch a lot of road crap and be really hard to seal up. Maybe not a big problem for a track day car unless you ever run in wet weather.

It’s your channel so do what’s best for you. One question though, you may have answered in the past, when you use the plasma table who decides the order the cuts are made in, you or the computer based on spreading the heat through the steel sheet?
