Remember it's not just boost acting against the wastegate actutor, you also have drive pressure trying to lift the wastegate off it's seat so depending on how well the hot side is flowing will impact on how much boost lifts the actuator. That's why multi port actuators are used so you can keep the actuator shut until you want it to open. Decent numbers for whst jt is, can imagine that's a lot of fun.

K Swap it my friend! Build yourself a K24 with a K22 head in a billet block and a sequential trans! Build yourself some metal tubing with V-Bands and get rid of the rubber hose for your boost tubes.

What they are referring to about dishwasher tablets is to use a non-sudsing (no foaming) cleaner to remove oily residue from metal. I used an old diesel mechanics trick with powdered Cascade dish washing soap diluted with water to throughly clean the inside of the block on my 82 Mercedes 300 diesel. Worked like a champ.

Big mistake to do arc welding without gauntlets. The electric arc produces intense UV light which can cause skin cancer as does the UV light from the sun. Even if you are not worried about small burns from hot sparks, wear gloves!

I very nice bit of kit but not available in the UK 😢 so I had to settle on a Weldstar Infinium 200a 4 in 1 very similar welder matt if you need ideas for a raffle do one of them

Price of such a machine after purchase, import duty, v.a.t?. id guess £4-£5k? I understand its 3 welders in one , so price would reflect that.
