I’m so jealous of all the people who can buy your speakers. I’m so proud for you for staying so humble though you are the name in the speaker building on KZbin. I’m so glad for you that you constantly search for greater sound with so much passion. Bless you mate.

Not fair! Now you revived my fantasy on building a side firing speaker with a quite spectacular design. Only problem, I don't have the time nor the money - and have never built a complete speaker before! 😅

i really enjoy your channel. the hard part for me is getting a sense of sound quality in ALL speaker reviews. i realize sound quality is very subjective, but is there any way to compare to an off-the-shelf speaker for your review of sound quality? sound quality seems very personal, so it would be nice to compare to readily available equip stocked at common retailers as a reference point.

Tnx for showing, keep up going! For the one‘s who wanted to see the separate compartments, look at 2:53, lines are drawn on the wood, and I think to indicate the place of the upper compartment... for me this is not important I am going to put the case in practise as an example for all the teachings - tnx Kirby - and design the case from the ground up. The same for the electronics inside.

Beautiful work. This is my all time favorite design. I'm gonna use this design with 61/2 inch TB subwoofers in a multi chamber design. The bottom part for the woofer is either gonna be a T-Line type or band pass chamber like Bose Acoustimas. The full range driver with be the Dayton Audio PS 95 copper phase plug ( full range driver) and a Fountek ribbon tweeter with the appropriate bass blocker. I will just run the full range driver and subwoofer straight. Not sure if I will put a 80 Hz bass blocker on the full range driver or not. Trial and error I guess

Hey kirby, what about the inside design? Is it ported? T-Line? Or sealed? I think a separate t line type design would have been good for the woofer with a separate chamber for the ps95 full range speaker. No crossover needed correct ? Polyfil ?

Hi, I have been looking to well, make my own set off speakers, I don't have any experience with woodworking but I have a 3D-printer. Will the potentially hollow plastic ruin the sound? I am not a real audiophile, I just like a decent amount of bass and I don't mind colouring. Oh and could you in a future video explain more about the internals of a speaker, I still don't fully understand it and that's why I'm too hessistant about starting. Sorry for any bad sentences, I am not a native English speaker.

Hello Sir. I like your videos and how you explain them. I have a question. Sometimes I find woofers(30-100watts) which do not have any data without impedence and wattage. Is it possible to design a suitable vented enclosure for them so can sound close to their original enclosure?

@belovedconsole
@belovedconsole 5 жыл бұрын
0:57 starting this because I am so curious where you're going to cut off the sub and how you're going to keep its enclosure separate from the top. Also from your last review of the build of the little 3.5s, I myself had though of pairing with a bass and letting the smalls be essentially mid and tweeter.
@belovedconsole
@belovedconsole 5 жыл бұрын
7:19 I'm guessing you were able to keep them in the same box non-separated because the waves from the side-firing at 90 degrees will not have significant impact on the front-firing, since they are crossing each other? As opposed to both front-firing where the air from the back of the sub would push-pull the back of the smaller driver.
