From my understanding these kits come with two tips per can, one from spraying walls, and one that directs the foam upward for spraying ceilings. 1-inch thick is optimal. Thicker applications can cause separation or cracking, but it depends on how soon after you apply the next coat.

Any ideas on the specs and construction on the extension applicator? It looks like it's simple vinyl tubing and maybe a barbed fitting in one end, but any idea on the exact type of fitting and inner and outer diameter of the hose?

Could easily make it but I don't have the specs atm. You're right, it's simple tube.

Nice video! You have a metal ceiling, but can I spray the wooden ceiling too? A few people told me to watch out that the foam can hinder the expansion and retraction of the wooden structure.

I am not sure, but the spray foam channels we follow have seemingly no problem spraying wood ceilings.

Did the hose and tip call for like 4 to 6 inches from area? Or was it to be still 12 to 18 inches?

I don't remember, I just adjusted as foam and pressure dictated with temp and humidity.
