For cost reference: I calculated that 3-1/2" R-13 batt insulation would run about 61¢ per ft². For this spray to reach R-13 value it would require 2.3 inches in depth. That would cost $1.92 per ft². So for walls that are 8 feet tall, the cost for batt insulation = $4.89 a linear foot. The cost for this spray foam = $15.38 per linear foot. (Actual cost depends on package purchased) Your mileage may vary. Thanks for the video.

BUT fiberglass batt is not a good idea for a metal shed due to condensation causing a mold problem. You also have to have studs to attach the batts to. I would recommend rigid foam sheets and glue them in place with this spray foam leaving a good space between sheets say 1 1/2 inches at least. It would leave you with a much cleaner looking job as well and WAY faster too. In answer to this video's question "doesn't that look great?" Not really.

I'm an ironworker, and we use these guns all the time and I'm gonna give you tip after you clean the gun initially leave the can attached to the gun let the acetone work on the remaining foam clinging to the inside the workings trust me it may appear its all out but it isn't let cleaner can on for at least 5 minutes and respray then when you take can off don't pull trigger to release pressure let that cleanerase in the gun another 5 minute then release these guns gradually clog up and will need to be broken down to clean properly but this will help prolong that

Do not have moisture on your substrate, also wear the proper PPE, any moisture above 14% will more than likely lead to delamination issues, manufacturer will tell you 18 is the highest, a professional will tell you 14, high pressure or low pressure, you want your surface as dry as possible

What are you insulating, meaning what will be inside the shed? Will it have a heat source inside? If not, the air inside will rise or fall to the outside temperature. You might slow down the rise in temperature inside on a sunny summer day, but it will eventually be the same. And even if you have a heat source inside, the wooden supports will transfer the heat in or out, bypassing the foam insulation. Appreciate the time and effort to make the video and share your experience..

I did. But had professional apply it for those areas. If you need electrical service local codes may call for specific details. Also whatever you plan to cool with should be installed first as the foam will form a seal. Don't forget to cover up anything you don't want the foam inside of. It's about like using a power paint sprayer makes fine drops.

Just curious, did you use clothes sell insulation or open cell installation because if you’re doing your metal roof, you should think about the metal roof sweating and siding so you should probably use close sell insulation otherwise you’re just soaking up all that moisture and getting mold

@markstipulkoski1389 dude, I know. But as someone who did spray foam you would be surprised how many people do this kinda shit in their house and the chemicals don't fully react do to cold substrate and makes toxic/ carcinogenic insulation. That's not good in a shed or a bathroom additional or what have you. I even complimented the man because he makes top notch content. It's not like I'm bitching at him 😂 relax
