New sub from Idaho. Sorry you had a man go down. Hope he gets back in the saddle soon. Your camera work was great. Your sarcasm, laughter, razzin each other, survival tips, grizzly cub commentary, ramen recipe and sharing your adventures with us...thank you.

Just curious what kind of spotter youre using? And if you really like the one youre using?
@AlpineCarnivore2 жыл бұрын
On this hunt we had 2 vortex spotters which one are you referring to the smaller or bigger one they both have upsides and downsides.

First of all I hope cheese recovery is going well. Second of all I am a Canadian and also have a Satellite communicator my question is when the sos was pressed, and all the dust settled who paid for the helicopter extraction?
@idaho2ndgens2402 жыл бұрын
That is a good question. Looking forward to hearing the response. I too carry a InReach, have not had to hit the SOS button yet and hope it stays that way. I spend a lot of time in the back country, sometimes solo and you just never know. I have purchased the flight insurance but don't know how that would really work.
@AlpineCarnivore2 жыл бұрын
Hey Ben, British Columbia has a program that makes evacuations free. There is no cost to hitting the button as long as you are actually in trouble and need an extraction! Now I’m not sure about how other provinces, territories and states work. I also have the insurance just in case…

Please see the response I just gave to Ben hope that helps!
