thats bad .. zero effect to impact noise, and as for the airborne, the rockwool does absolutely nothing .. the sound just leaks through the uncovered surround area ..

Maybe Mr brilliant @TempoDrift1480 assume it is a carpet but it could also be a MLV or Mass Loading Vynil, which is widely used for soundproofing & sound absorbtion, to a degree...
