Hey Sausage, for best results. move yourself at least 3-4 feet from your green screen. light the screen on it's own behind you, not with you in the way of the lights. Then key light yourself with a light in front of you. This way you don't get shadows behind you. For even better results, add a small light behind you and off to the side aiming back at you. This will light the edging around your body adding depth to what usually seems as flat with green screen. Great hack on the cheep lights, that's how you do it man. P.s. get back to Star Citizen....

I bought new green screen 20 euro from amazon, can u tell me how to remove wrinkles and lines, when i see the product before i buy i see clean soft straight but now after i set up with the wall it has lines like squares and i hated it, any tips
@SausageFingersGaming4 жыл бұрын
I had one of them and it took hours to cool iron. I quickly replaced it with a cotton one which was only a couple of bucks more expensive. I think they are called muslin or cotton greenscreens. The only way I found to fix the issue with your type was to stretch it out really tight and pin it to the wall. Even then it wasn't as good as the muslin one I have now. Good luck I hope you get it sorted.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching this build. When, at the end, you finally sat down in front of the green-screen, you appeared to me to be somewhat...blurry. I don't know if you or others noticed the same thing. Might want to check out the footage by watching on KZbin to double check me and or get someone else to confirm if what I saw is really there.
@SausageFingersGaming5 жыл бұрын
You're right about the blurry. It's my chroma key software letting me down now as I've tried alternatives since. I've got loads more projects in the build line now. Ring lighting. A new desk. Further improvements to the sausage cave. And then maybe some build challenges specific to improving the sausage cave. Doing this video has opened a whole new very fun avenue for an ex engineer.

Great DIY vid. Oddly enough, as soon as the greenscreen potion of the vid began there is a noticeable (albeit, not horrible) audio-video sync issue. (I went back and forth in the vid several times to try and isolate if network issue, PC issue or whatever and it was always same. No issue prior to the greenscreen portion.)
@SausageFingersGaming5 жыл бұрын
Doh ! My kids came down to the sausage cave and one of them knocked the cable out so I was using the video from one camera but the audio from another one. Lucky I had them both on still or I'd have had to do it again and then it would of been staged instead of real. I've vowed never to stage reactions cos I can't act 🤣

Great hacks bud really nice job. If I may make a suggestion. White Nylon cloth or pantyhose, double thick, over the light boxes instead of table paper may help them be a little more soft but still bright, that's what is covering my pro lighting that I spent way too much on. Also I suggest a third box, smaller (half the size of the others), placed over and slightly behind your computer screen, angled down directly on you. Should help with face lighting and shadows from the sides. Here's an example:instagram.com/p/Bkv-e3UFZYm/

Awesome tip thanks very much. I'll take a look in my..... I mean my wife's pantyhose collection.
