I bought a kit on Amazon with 4 lights, soft box,umbrellas, stands and green screen for less than $200. But yes, a piece of green cloth and a window works fine too. Don’t wait to create. Get in with what you have. Content is king. Thanks for your inspiring videos.

Yup pretty good for a consumer level video maker. Big problem comes when you actually want to light your presenter to better match the composite image - you simply can't do that with one big soft light.

Very informative video about green screen. I've already tried it with a green bed cover. I stretched these on the top and bottom of a door by closing the door. 3 meters from the door is a large window for the light. I have to do it in the morning because the light is on the north side. But it works, and that's the most important thing

after watching a hundred videos on KZbin where everyone said it was impossible to have a good keying without at least three lights i came across your video and it encouraged me to open my green screen and see it for myself. I hung it in the kitchen in front of a big window and even though my iso was 500 It turned out great for my work! I just wanted me separate on a background even with green showdows on me. It is a video for kids with lots of animated things on the screen that distracts them anyway. Thanks a hundred times for this awsome video. It saved me a lot of money.

I'm a newbie when it comes to chromakeying, but I have this idea. I've not had a lot of luck with green screen, but I have blue screen on the other side. I'm going to try the blue side. I think I might have better success because blue may not cast as much shadow. I'll see. Thanks for the video.

You can use any solid colour for your back screen however you still need to light it properly! The reason green colour is used is that there are very little green colour in human beings! It also makes your wardrobe easier but if you use a green screen and dress with some green clothes you are going to have problems, the same goes for other clours!

I love your production which looks so professional from a set so simple and even less than basic! I have a 9’ x 15’ green screen and have struggled with uneven lighting. My setup is in my office and I’m planning on turning it around to face the double French doors entry with 1’ wide glass panels on each side bringing the total of glass to 10’ wide by almost 7’ high. I’m in Los Angeles where sunlight is plenty. Question is, will I have enough light if the green screen is about 25’ away from these doors and behind two desks? If not, I have a ring light to compliment the sunlight, would that be ok? Please advise. Thank you!

Question: (from a total newbie). I can see the green screen you have isn’t very wide, but the lovely beach background you’ve placed in at the 5min mark looks much wider. I’m sorry I don’t know quite how to phrase this correctly,..... but when you shot that film didn’t you have to have total green within the camera’s frame? How did you manage that, or doesn’t it matter if you have the edges of the room in the frame? Perhaps I need to watch more videos? Perhaps you could recommend some :-). Thanks
@DroneFilmGuide
@DroneFilmGuide 2 жыл бұрын
No worries! Provided the green screen covers you, the subject, for the rest of the frame that is not 'covered' in green fabric, you simply crop the sides of your clip in your editing software. When you drag in the sides of the frame you will reveal the background you have set underneath and this will match the green screen section of the frame.
