@@passarosprofessores255 You can add 1-3 layers of a protectant. I use a product called Protectaclear. It really helps to keep the shine and the copper from tarnishing.😀

I love your channel! You are such a great teacher and have the best personality and voice.I love these earrings and plan to make them, but would LOVE to make a chunky necklace using the beads, but am looking for ideas to attach them to each other. Do you have any recommendations?? Thanks in advance! Your neighbor in NC.
@carriefoscatodesign15 күн бұрын
Hi!!! So great to have you join me for some fun! Thank you for all your sweet comments! As for attaching or linking them, you could simply put a wire through them like you were going to make the hoop earrings, but instead just do some wrapped loops on either end and connect that way. How are things in NC in your area? That was the most brutal hurricane!! Hope the chunky necklace works out!!! 🤗💚✨🧡

Fantastic earrings, Carrie! Thank you so much for sharing. I love your sense of humor, and the little things you flash on the screen are so cute! Do you have to buy a special tumbler or can you use a rock tumbler for the polishing?
@carriefoscatodesign25 күн бұрын
Hey! Thank you! That is a good question about the tumbler. I honestly can’t answer because I’ve never tumbled rocks. It’s worth a try taking a junk piece and throwing it in there and see what happens. What does a rock tumbler use to polish? I use high-grade steel shot in different shapes and it does great on the metals!

Thank you for the reply! I’ll give it a try!

Very cute. I have been watching an old TV series where the lead lady wears those vintage style earrings you referred to. May I suggest something. When I started out making jewelry and trying to work off the spool it was not so easy. I could not then find nor now seen any one who tells of a trick on how to make it a bit easier. I have since found something that works for me but I mention this for those who are newbies to this art. These earrings are easy enough for beginners so if you might consider giving them a few tips & tricks to working off the spool I think they would really like that. I do enjoy your work, it is always fun to get new ideas from others. Also do you ever do mens jewelry say tie clasp or shirt cufflink? Thank you for sharing and teaching.
@carriefoscatodesign25 күн бұрын
Aww thanks! I normally don’t work off the spool because I usually am not cutting large pieces or I need to bring the ends together to find the middle, but it seemed to work for coiling and its one simple movement. 🤗 I haven’t considered those men’s items you mentioned, but I’ll look into them! 👍 Thanks for joining me and happy creating! 🤗🧡🤗💚

Can I ask if the tumbler is the same for the stones and wire or is different for jemstones and different for wire?
@carriefoscatodesign20 күн бұрын
Good question! I know there are such things as rock tumblers but I’ve never used one. The tumbler I use takes high grade steel shot that will polish the wire, but will not add any extra polish to the stones. It’ll clean them for sure but not make them shinier. In my experience. The steel shot is fantastic for wire, chain, and getting into nooks and crannies! 🤗💚✨🧡

Where can I get the nail file? Thank you
@carriefoscatodesign2 күн бұрын
The nail file I picked up at Marshall’s or a TJMaxx type of store in the nail section for $10. It came with a bunch of manicure tips that I also use for different jewelry sanding and filings. It’s not the level of a final sanding, but it’s great for little things.
