Well said . I am an older girl ,70 years and I have been on the sustainable bandwagon for most of my life. I love making and secondhand is my first stop when I need something. Being intentional is key to help our planet

I agree. It's not just a trend, it's a mindset. Hopefully other people will realise that, actually, when you think of it that way it's not a chore. D x

Hi Cassandra - nice to "meet" you! I'm pretty new to this You Tube lark, so let me know what you're interested in and I'll try to turn the camera on when I'm collecting/making something you might find interesting! Take care, Dawn 😊

We really do have a lot in common! My love of the "treasure hunt" second-hand & sustainable shopping comes from how I was brought up. 2 bits of wisdom from my childhood: Use what you have and you'll never want & necessity is the mother of invention. That's why I craft using things that already exist, we're modern-day Wombles!

"Things that the every-day folk leave behind!" Never a truer word spoken Lindsey! I actually found an old Wombles LP in the attic the other day - from my childhood - I had to teach my teenage son the difference between an LP and a 45...!!!

Thank you! I am just sorting through a few things I've bought recently, including some French fabric, thread boxes and something from an old doll's house that I'm planning on sewing with. A ridiculously fun way to spend the afternoon! Thank for for taking time to comment x

Wow, love your channel! I adore vintage finds. As a seamstress, I have a corner of carded buttons, a measuring tape that belonged to an elderly friend who passed away, it has a chunk out of it, but is still useable, and brings her back to mind.

Aww, that’s lovely! Old and vintage things really are special, aren't they?, and I love that your measuring tape has its own story. Have fun with them!

@homeincornwall , those receipts you have for John and James Bird have an address?
@athomeincornwall79449 күн бұрын
Hello again - you're a Bird as well, are you? Small world! No, I'm afraid I only have a few pieces - the bundle would have been split into separate parts by the stall holder, before I ever saw them I'm afraid. You honestly never know what you're going to come across, do you?! Take care, Dawn.
