Excellent tutorial, thanks for sharing. I like how you chose 4 different size crystals, makes the shoe look very expensive.

Can I use black shoes? Will the color show?
@PreciousKisses5 жыл бұрын
I would not use black shoes with that color stone. I will show through. Also think about if you loose a stone... Then you will have a big black spot on the shoe. Trust me this is what I do for a living..

I used a pair of Louboutin black matte leather Daffodile shoes and used a metallic lilac leather patent to paint the black a pretty purple color like the factory-made Louboutin strass shoes. If you look at the factory ones, you’ll see through the gaps between the crystals they’re a suede shoe painted a very light Lilac purple, and then crystaled. If you are going to use a black matte leather shoe like I did, and you’re not doing black crystals, you might want to paint the leather before you apply the crystals. Clean the leather with rubbing alcohol to remove dirt and polish, and then paint them with 3-4 coats of the paint you want to use. 😃

Amazing!!!! So beautiful 😍 does the B7000 glue work and hold the crystals better than the E6000?

G’day from Melbourne Australia. Love the shoes! But I have a glue question for you. Do you ever have a problem with the crystals falling off? I am doing a pair of western leather boots with the B 7000 but am having a bit of trouble with the crystals not sticking very well. At first glance they look fine but if you run your hand over them some of the crystals fall off. Do you have any hints please?
@D0RK914 жыл бұрын
They have fallen off so just add a decent amount of glue

Great Video! In what ratio did you use the different sizes of stones? Don't you need more small ones then big ones for example.

Hi, I covered a pair of Louboutin Daffodile shoes and it used about 24,000-25,000 Aurora crystals. My shoes are a Louboutin 41, or US 11. It depends on what shoe size you wear mostly (the bigger the shoe, the more area you need to cover up), and how encrusted with crystals you want your shoes be in particular. I got my crystals from amazon, a seller called TechUnite and I ordered a total of 21 sets of crystals ( it’s a little box with various crystals!) and I had a total of 37,000 crystals to work with and they cost me roughly $220. I also had better luck with using Locktite GO2 gel glue through an adhesive syringe that you order on amazon too. I have enough crystals left over from covering my Loubi Daffodiles, that I’m current strass servicing another pair of shoes. Happy crystaling!

GasKillingAnimal I always use Loctite glue too! I think it works much better than E6000 or B7000. (Ok, so I used to be a chemist for Loctite so I might be a little biased!) I always use Swarovski crystals. They are much more expensive, but I feel that they sparkle more and hold up to wear better. Some of the other crystal scratch very easily. Maybe I’m just really rough on my items and the crystals.

I’d make these and them sell them on my Etsy store
