Hi Kennis, I have just made the switch 3, I'm not great at electronics but I followed your diagram easily. Worked 1st time and I have made a beautiful case for the switches. Saved at least £120 on A helicon switch 3. Thank you so much, well done. Paul

Hi Kennis. Thank you very much. I did this to use it with TC Electronic BH550 Bass head and works wonderfully. As far as I know this will work with BH250 and BH800 as well. Just one advise, when the pedal is connected to the Bass head, it will override the amp switches for mute and toneprint 1 and 2, just be aware of this. Thanks again. Greetings from Mexico

Keep all of these type of videos coming. Try the other TC-Helicon pedals now. The real ones are very expensive.

Thanks, I made one for my BH250 and it worked great. I originally tried with Arcade buttons but that didn't work. The second time was the charm. Make sure diodes are facing the right way.

If you're looking for a quicker way to do this, buy the Digitech FS3X. Straight out of the box it selects presets 1, 2 & 3 on my Helicon Perform-VK and costs £22.90 ($35.07 on sale at time of writing) on Amazon with a long lead. Saves time and soldering. You do miss out on the satisfaction of having done it yourself and the switches are a bit close together if you're a Sasquatch like me but so much time and hassle saved for minimal outlay.

It would be handy to indicate on the schematic the mapping for SW1, SW2 and SW3 - ie: which is tip, ring and diodes. Thanks

Great tutorial. Very nicely explained. My question: I'm considering the TC Helicon Perform VK. I want to be able to turn on and off the vocal harmony as I play keyboard. I only need one switch for the harmony function. Can only one switch be used? Also, I wonder if the harmony feature can only be on while the switch is depressed, and off when it isn't? Probably not, but that would be a great feature for me.

I will do it for my bh250 =) tks it works like that: (1) earth + tip = mute (2) earth + ring = turn on/ turn of toneprint (3) earth + ring + tip = change effect - last effect
@LuKasLuisMusic9 жыл бұрын
Hey...what kind of switches do you use for that??? Normally open por closed?
@rodjbass9 жыл бұрын
You need a switch push button (push = on, release = off).
@jejpoet9 жыл бұрын
Rodrigo Lopes I followed this video and the schematic to the t and it works. However, it does not work like you've listed. Here's how mine works: (1) shield + tip = oldest toneprint on/off (2) shield + ring = newest toneprint on/off (3) shield + tip + ring = mute At first I thought something was wrong or shorted. I rechecked everything and plugged in again. Works like a charm!
@rodjbass9 жыл бұрын
Joel Jacobson, I made it for BH250 and it works like that: (1) shield + tip = mute (2) shield + ring = turn on/ turn of toneprint (3) shield + ring + tip = change between oldest and newest effects. I don't know about the Helicon Voice Live.
