my theory is If the table top is wider than the base at the bottom, The vunerabilty of a flipover is there, moreso than if the tabletop is not wider than the base at the bottom. I like the idea other than how wide the top is.

I understand. This has so much weight on it and attached under it that it's proven to be very solid over the years. I have had to adjust and tighten a few things.

Was the table it came with not strong enough to hold basic DJ controller and laptop?

I like it. When I'm done unloading I toss my dolly in the corner.. now u can use it.

I've been using this for a few years now and making improvements. I zip-tied dollar tree floor mats to the top for a solid surface and Velcro around the edge so I now use a cocktail height table skirt instead of a table cloth over the top. I have also added a stabilization bar to make the whole cart more solid.

Hey Neil, what is the name of the bolts you got for the table? the one that screws.. im looking to make a similar table and also, I was wondering if the bolt would be a substitue for the rock n roller wingbolts since u said these are better ( i lost one of my Rock N roller bolts that screw on the bottom)

I'm not completely sure I'm following you but I would just roll the cart into a hardware store and size different bolts until you find the right one for your needs.

Still use it to this day although I have made improvements since building. Put a carpeted top on and Velcro around the edges for a proper table skirt. Best thing I ever did.
