Can't wait to try this! Possible dumb question: Does it matter which pole you connect each wire to? ie does ground always need to be on a certain pole, etc.

Excellent! No, it doesn’t matter which wire goes to which pole. Essentially the switch acts as connecting the two wires when pressed. Enjoy.

Whoa! Great video dude, I think I'm gonna try this out. One question though, what if I just want to use an input jack similar to the MXR Tap?
@mbcarlson3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Yeah if you want to put an output jack in the tap box, it’ll still work. The reason I soldered the cable directly to the switch was to save space on my crowded pedalboard. Have fun!

@@mbcarlson Thanks dude! Got any suggestions on suppliers? The site in the description seems to be out of stock of almost every switch lol

Mine uses normally open

Cool, so the only change would be getting a switch that's normally open. Everything else would be the same. Boss pedals are kinda different in that way.

Would this work with the boss rc2?
@axemanguitar3 жыл бұрын
Yes, Boss uses the same tap tempo switches for all there pedals that have tap tempo, so it should work for the RC-2 as well.
