I mean is the ink that transfers to the towel safe to use for wiping dishes, etc. Thanks
@FirstDayofHome7 ай бұрын
I would read the manufacturer’s instructions, but I don’t personally think there’s any safety risk. The ink doesn’t come off of the towel, and you can wash and dry it after waiting for it to set. I use the towels more for decoration.

So cute. I bought similar files and never knew what to do with them!

That’s great to hear. You could also try printable heat transfer vinyl or make stickers if you have a Cricut. Have fun!

Thank you. Should I was them again before giving as gifts?
@FirstDayofHome2 жыл бұрын
I personally wouldn’t wash them again before gifting because I imagine they might want to wash them whenever they plan to use them. You might want to include the instructions for washing them with your gift, though. They definitely shouldn’t iron directly on top of the design. Enjoy!

How do these hold up after washing?
@FirstDayofHome Жыл бұрын
I use mine mainly as decorative towels, but I’ve laundered them several times. They’ve held up pretty well! I’d wash them on a delicate cycle and either hang them to dry or tumble dry low.

Is the transfer safe?
@FirstDayofHome7 ай бұрын
I’m not sure what aspect of it you’re asking about. It’s a product sold in craft stores that does not require special safety gear.

Stupid question but why do I have to cut the image out...can't I just iron the image on while on the sheet of transfer paper??
@FirstDayofHomeАй бұрын
No problem. There are no dumb questions. You need to cut out the image because otherwise, you’ll transfer all the white parts of the paper onto your material. It’s not like sublimation where it only transfers the ink. Hope this helps!

which towel brand(s) do you use?
@FirstDayofHome11 ай бұрын
I just bought them at Hobby Lobby I think. They were in the craft section. I think I linked similar ones above in the description box under the video, but I’m not sure.

is that sublimation paper?
@FirstDayofHome2 жыл бұрын
It is a special photo transfer paper. It’s slightly different than sublimation. I have it linked in the description box if you want to take a look: amzn.to/3MXDuUU

@@FirstDayofHome thank you so much! Do you think This would work on larger towels ?? It’s my daughters birthday and I’m trying to write something on them
@FirstDayofHome2 жыл бұрын
How sweet! I think as long as the fabric is fairly smooth, it should work. I don’t think it would work well on terry cloth. It works for shirts and tote bags too. There’s more info in the product description of fabric types.
