I've seen many homemade bead breakers made from metal, which for the average person is much more difficult to work with, especially if welding is required. This wooden breaker is simple to make, and appears to work great! Probably requires fairly good quality 2x4's, to make sure none of the pieces break after repeated use.

For speeds under 80 mph wheel balancing is usually not necessary. If you do a lot of driving at 90 or 100 mph, then you should balance the wheels.
