I've read a lot of stuff online about people hitting the key with their knee and breaking it off in the ignition. Maybe this will help. E60

Great idea, I just bumped mine last week and bent the key pretty bad. It didn’t break but I need to do this soon and replace the key before it breaks off in the ignition. Thanks buddy, good video 👍

I guess somebody with a 3D printer could do a plastic cup to install where the ignition switch is, but recess it like an inch into the steering column, like the MF. I agree with you, that is an small deign flaw.

IF you bump the new “key shield” do you think the set screws will damage the part they screw into? Tim in northern TN
