It would be great if you explained what paper you used and what you were doing in steps

That is water slide paper the image seemed to be printed in mirror you have to wet the picture then slide it off the backing carefully to adhere it to the cup all while taking a damp cloth to pat it on then take a dry tissue to dry it and let it sit to cure it will permanently adhere to the cup and be hand wash safe only

End result is awesome but the video makes no sense. Just looks like you used a napkin to magically wipe on a Winnie the Pooh.

Yes, it is dishwasher safe. The image can be transferred onto glass, metal, ceramic, plastic and etc. All transferred image onto those materials are dishwasher safe and good scratch resistance.
