I have this exact cooler on my 2004 Volvo XC70, and this video helped me determine how to mount this to the AC condenser on mine. Did a full 16-quart Amsoil Synthetic ATF flush, bypassed the main radiator, and she's shifting very happily, now. Thanks a bunch!

I have code P0751 on my Honda Odyssey only during the transmission problem otherwise it will not show up when scanned. First it happened in the highway, it was a terrible jerking. Second time wasn’t that bad, car will not move forward or backwards. Third time kicking and moved very slowly. I install a transmission cooler system, because it just happens when hot. After 2 weeks it did it again after stoping it would not move. I noticed it’s doing it when driving like a madman and when hot otherwise it will not act like that but likely jerk from 1 to 2. The P0751 code is the shift solenoid valve A, I am not sure if replacing it will fix the problem because everything is fine until It gets hot. All the mechanics Recomend to put a rebuild transmission. My transmisión was rebuild at 121000 and now is 153000. Any suggestions?

Great video. To the point, no fluff or annoying music!!!! My 2010 Odyssey's lines to stock cooler are leaking badly, so time to do the cooler upgrade. Looks as though you leave the stock cooler in the loop. Is this before or after the external cooler? I would guess that having it after might be best as it would act as a coolant heater in conditions where the external cooler is doing too good a job. Since I am replacing all hoses, how much will I need? Is it the same hose (3/8) all around? Do you recommend the combo package on amazon that includes hayden cooler, hose and thermostat bypass?

These 5-speed transmission never gave me issues. As a last try, change the ATF again. This time in place of a quart of ATF, use lucas transmission additive. It's a thick red fluid. If that doesn't work, replace the transmission with a used low mileage transmission. Don't bother with rebuilding.

@@keepingup2952 i think it is impossible because as the car is moving the air will constantly striking off the tube and the fins like high speed wind cooling it down, and the condenser will get the same air flow as the fins have spaces to each other, and still there are 2 moving fans when temperature raises to cool down condenser and radiator nothing will affect the condenser performance as it will continualy get the flow of air.

@@edwinalexander1170 But the air coming off of the cooler is much hotter than the air would have been naturally, without the cooler being there. Also, the velocity (volume/time) of that hot air is diminished due to the presence of the cooler compared to the scenario without the cooler. Any device, even a finned tube structure, will slow the air velocity.
@edwinalexander1170
@edwinalexander1170 2 жыл бұрын
@@keepingup2952 The effect on the condenser is minimum, as this cooler is just a quarter the size of Condenser, still the wide area of the condenser will be getting sufficient air flow, even the part of which the cooler is installed both the fins of the condenser and the cooler will get sufficient air. And as the car is moving the air flowing through both condenser and the cooler is so intense, heat will be dispersed in the air as usual. have you noted the way winds flow to you when riding a motorcycle at high speed. It is so intense the same will keep going through the condenser and the cooler. The condenser will still keep working well.
