Belinda Anderson ... I have tried to make my own and it was “ok” it is a a bit of a science experiment and I felt I didn’t make quit the right make up but in all fairness by the time I buy the right ingredients and mix the cost is still the same. I tried a plaster of Paris and fine salt but the reaction was to dry when I added paint. It may work better with dry wall compound and salt but I haven’t tried that. Anything I do try in the future I am definitely going to sure any fun and easy results! 💙🎨

Could u clarify if you are glazing directly on the chalk paint in this instance ? I was taught to seal first but your method if I’m understanding correctly is to use the clear glaze prior to the tinted glaze to allow movement? This is new to me and I’m intrigued to try it hope to hear from you with some clarification. 😍

@TheReclaimedHeirloom4 жыл бұрын
Popi Georgila ... thank you so much for your thoughtful comment Popi 🙏💙💙 Greece is an absolutely beautiful country! Your front door should be the colour that is a great representation of your home and has a beautiful decorative contrast to the exterior of your home. If your home has lots of colours then sometimes a bold black is what makes it pop! But on the opposite end of your home has more neutral tones this is where a good bright colour makes the invite! It’s tricky for me to gage a colour recommendation as I would have to see a photo (which would be great via Facebook or Instagram message) and I would be delighted to give a recommendation or inspirational thought 💭 It’s funny to read your comment as I too want to paint my front door into something more of a pop! A good idea is to get samples of your favourite colour ideas and paint them onto a sheet of paper and tape it to the door , walk away to study the colour against the door to how it feels from a small distance to the house exterior? Hope it helps ? And feel free to contact me anytime if you have any questions 🤗💙💙
