I have a different trick to repair screw holes : put wood glue & wooden tooth picks in the hole, let dry trim away the stick that are sticking out of the hole, then the screw will go back in just like new. another fun project it looks great tfs xo

Love the concept, I have a couple of really old cigar boxes I’ve been wanting to transform but didn’t have the right inspiration. I have to admit I freaked out a little bit when you started pouring out the wood glue to attach the blue velvet inside. Idkw but anytime I use glue like that with fabric it ends up seeping through my fabric and then it looks like poo 💩 So now what I do is have a piece of chip board and I use double sided tape on the surface of the chipboard (to hold the fabric steady) and then I wrap the fabric around the backside of the chipboard and use the heavy glue to hold the fabric to the back. In your next box, do it like I just described but don’t glue the fabric wrapped chipboard into the box yet. Instead, you can use brads or eyelets to attach the leather things and then you won’t have to worry about whether the fabric will sag under the weight of the items. I hope this made sense 😊
