Amazing creativity. The purse/tote is so beautiful. I love the snowflake print as a focal point on the front and the dotted fabric; the dots make them look like tiny little snowflakes falling. How did you attach the latches on the pockets on front of the bag/tote? The footage is missing on the post. My sister can see just about anything. She took home economics in high school. She made my nieces pageant dresses when she was a baby and young girl. That is the only time she was in pageants. As she got older she didn’t like the pageants. She won several of the pageants she was in. I promise, when my niece was just a baby, she was the most beautiful baby I had ever seen, many other people and strangers would say the same thing. God made her beautiful inside and out, and she was also a very smart young lady and got scholarships to the University in our neighboring city just 20 miles from her home, so she was able to stay at home and go to college. Back to sewing: By the time I got in high school, the home economics classes were cut due to funding issues. I believe that home economics classes are really needed; they can help students to learn things that are not taught at home. Now days, there are so many single parents trying to work multiple jobs to provide for the children, that the time needed to inform young adults of what they need to know for the future after school. I can sew simple things. My grandmother showed me how on her foot paddle operated sewing machine. She also showed me the basics for hand sewing.

Sadly, sewing is an overlooked craft nowadays. In the era of mass produced and fast fashion, people (especially young ones) don't see the necessity of learning how to mend/upcycle your clothes. My only hope is that gradually more people will adopt an eco-friendly life style and learn to reuse and repurpose their clothes, instead of throwing them in the bin. Ps: I'm from Romania, born in 1982. My generation was still taught sewing and knitting in school and I loved those lessons. Nowadays that subject was replaced by social education and education for health. (though, if you ask me, I can't really see the results of those subjects in modern society). It's sad that the "authorities" stopped considering arts, crafts and simple housekeeping as something essential for adult life. And speaking about grandparents, my grandma, bless her soul, was very skilled in all these crafts. She left me her hand sewn traditional costume (that she wore at her wedding in 1952), knitted blouses and sweaters and many bed covers made by her at the loom. I cherish them all.

It is confusing in our English language that you call the fabric you cut out “ sheets” here in American & British English we call sheets “ pieces” like 1 sheet is 1 piece, 2 sheets are 2 pieces etc. For us English speaking people “ sheets” is confusing word except for 1 sheet of paper 📝 or a sheet to make the bed 🛏️ ! I hope this helps you in your translation of your language to English language for your viewers!
