This is a video tutorial on how I build my simple table-top tufting frame! perfect for 2ft rugs. The same design can easily be built bigger for bigger rugs.
The frame is a simple square construction that includes small wood extensions on the base to allow the frame to be clamped down to your table.
MATERIALS:
two 2x4s
ten 2" screws
two eyelet hooks
I hope this helps you get tufting :-) comment or message me if you have any questions about rug making. I love to do it and I love to talk about it.
GOOD LUCK! Have fun making your rugs
I made the music for the first minute of the video, and my friend yiction (david) made the music for rest of the video. Check out his artist profile on spotyspotyfi

Well, I sure did spiral after watching some of these videos, and found your page. Totally dig your art dude, and thought, man that face painting would be an awesome rug, which got me thinking. If you have a queen size box spring you don't need, you can make it a frame with adjustable sides, so you could rugs big and small. Hey ! So nice to see the process. How do you manage to feed your gun constantly with bundles and not cones ? I would love a tip for this !!
@FlavorWorld
@FlavorWorld 3 жыл бұрын
Good question!!! There are two ways to start a yarn bundle! the outside strand (the most obvious one it seems) but then theres also usually a strand sticking out of the MIDDLE of the side of the yarn bundle. If you pull on this strand, itll just feed out easy no problem at all!!!!

Hello! 45 seconds into my latest youtube video ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/e3_NiXmhhs2gjpI ) I talk a bit about the fabric I use AND why, but here is a quick summary: I use burlap as my backing fabric instead of the industry standard monk's cloth because it is much much cheaper and still works fine. The tufting monks cloth will preform better, its just easier to use and a little more durable, but still I choose burlap because I find it to be plenty sufficient
