It also helps to cut a slight upside down V shape instead of a straight line when cutting the bottom front edge of the top piece. It helps accommodate the bump. I noticed a while back that on all my maternity dresses, they always do that. Hope that helps! Great transformation!

I miss seeing more of the technical parts. For instance, did you use stretch stitching to attach the bodice to the skirt? To sew the section that would include the elastic? What was the "v" you sewed in to enhance the neckline and slit?

What an improvement! Thanks to your channel I had the courage to first alteration to a top I'd been given - I just shortened the sleeves as I don't like 3/4 sleeves and now they're above the elbow. Not much of a transformation but it's a start.
