Can I use gelatin instead of agar agar?
Agar agar is a seaweed that acts as gelatin but creates a better texture for the mask. Regular gelatin is made from decaying animal parts: connective tissues & bones usually from cows and pigs. Different types of gelatin require different measurements + techniques for the mask gel together properly. You are free to experiment with any type of gelatin you like. But to provide the exact results as in the video, I recommend using agar agar.

Hi 🙂, if yours didn't gel up its likely the mask didn't have enough time to set. Allow it to set in the fridge overnight like in the video and it should be a nice jelly consistency.
